"Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires avid faith in yourself. That is why some people with mediocre talent, but with great inner drive, go much further than people with vastly superior talent." Sophia Loren (1934 - )
It is easy to weigh ones abilities and strengths against others whom appear to be more successful; more liked and more accomplished. Inertia can be lost and self confidence deflated, by comparing oneself to others. On the other hand inertia can be gained by studying and adapting the habits and practices of others whom have attained the success one personally desires.
Self confidence along the way reaps greater reward then momentary confidence in the end. Each individuals success is relevant to the confidence exuded in the process. Confidence comes from within. It is energy that fuels the desire for and in the end attains successful outcomes. Bear in mind all outcomes are successful, even those outcomes fueled by low self confidence.
Being successful versus not, is simply a measurement of gain. Failure is the opposite of success. However, failure is gain in the sense that failure fosters a strong sense of low self esteem and confidence. Adapting the perception that, "one never fails if they learn along the way", helps generate positive self esteem, enables confidence and helps establish a feeling of success rather than failure.
Confidence can be boosted by
accepting ones
imperfection and coupling it with the
desire to
improve. This helps one, not only enjoy the process of perfectly-imperfect self expression, but also enables obstacles and presumed failures to become opportunities for success. Seek knowledge, empower healthy change, gain tools that help you not only float in the water, but fly among the stars!
Learning that one can float does not enable one to float. Skills must be adapted and practiced before one can easily bob on water. Floating is good. It's relaxing and soothing to the spirit, however flying with turbo engines is very cool too! Why not do both? Knowledge applied becomes wisdom. Be wise, fly and float.
Having faith in ones self creates inner confidence and breeds opportunity for others. When others witness confidence they see strength and power. It is either appealing or not. In the end all that truly matters is simply the process. Faith and confidence in ones own heart is the example, that others get to see. Each person cultivates a garden in life and offers seeds for others to grow.
Have faith in yourself and let your inner power flow!
