Get out of your own way.

Intentions are good, until life screws them up! Do you have a death grip on "how it should be"? Are you hanging on to an expectation and enabling grief in your life? Is disappointment wrenching your heart and festering sorrow into your day? If so, get out of your own way!

Stop, let go of your ideas and ask, "How can I best be of service in this moment?".  Put yourself aside and look around, literally. Look around and witness all that you are part of. Know that in this moment you are like a drop in a pond. Your thoughts and actions ripple immediately to all shores. The cause that you are is the effect shared by the universe.

Today you may offer a rainbow and tomorrow a hurricane. What you intend may not be what is achieved, it will however be what is necessary. Let go of "how it should be", and accept "it is as it should be". Accepting each moment as complete helps free the spirit from past obligation and future expectation. Each moment is abundant opportunity. One in an instance can change perception, emotional reaction and physical behaviour.

"Learn to accept the present moment as if you had invited it, and work it rather than against it." ~ The Great Pema

Now, is opportunity ever present, always a gift and never wrong. Leverage now and in this moment know that later it will be the architecture on which you can reflect and enjoy as memory.
